About Motorcycle Reviews
What is Motorcycle Reviews and how is it independent?
Motorcycle Reviews is an independent, rider-first publication that explains how to evaluate motorcycles and choose the right one. We focus on criteria and judgment rather than invented spec sheets, write our guidance first, and add disclosed affiliate links only where they fit, so compensation never decides what we recommend. Our aim is to help you ride the right bike, well.
What we cover and who it is for
We write for real riders and riders-to-be: someone choosing a first motorcycle, weighing a sport bike against a naked, deciding whether an adventure bike suits their roads, or learning to maintain and insure what they own. Our coverage spans the major categories, sport, cruiser, touring, adventure, naked, standard, and dual-sport, alongside practical guides to beginner bikes, riding gear and helmets, maintenance basics, motorcycle insurance, and buying new versus used.
Motorcycle Reviews has a long history in the bike-review space, and this rebuilt edition keeps that rider-first focus while organizing the guidance around the decisions you actually face. Where older content lived, you will now find clear, current, criteria-based reviews and guides on the same subjects.
How we review, and what we will not do
Our reviews are built on criteria and judgment, not on parroting numbers. We explain how to evaluate a bike in each category, what genuinely matters in the riding, and the trade-offs behind the styling, so you can judge any specific model, including ones we have not covered, on the things that count. We deliberately do not fabricate specifications, performance figures, prices, or model-year claims; where a concrete number is needed, we tell you to confirm it with the manufacturer or dealer, because invented data helps no one and erodes trust.
We also keep our guidance honest about safety. Motorcycling carries real risk, and we consistently emphasize training, protective gear, and choosing a bike you can actually handle over chasing power or image. We would rather steer a new rider toward a sensible first bike than flatter a fantasy purchase.
How we stay independent
Our recommendations are written before any partner links are added, and a partner cannot pay to change our advice or its placement. When we link to gear or an insurance quote through an affiliate relationship, that link is disclosed and the compensation does not influence what we recommend. We leave products out when they do not earn a place, regardless of any commercial relationship, and we explain this fully in our disclosure policy.
Nothing here is professional, safety, or financial advice for your situation. Specifications, prices, and insurance terms vary and change over time, so we always tell readers to confirm current details with the manufacturer, dealer, or insurer before deciding.
Gear and quotes
Gear and insurance we would point you to
Each slot below is reserved for gear we have reviewed, or for a disclosed motorcycle-insurance quote. We add partners only as we vet them, every link is disclosed, and nothing here is a paid placement or a fabricated product or quote.
